Where would you put this wallpaper???

I bought this very expensive wallpaper because I fell in love with it thinking I’d use it in a small space like the downstairs loo but ended up using something else in there. Where can I use it? While house is being done, living room and hall has already been done!

Where would you put this wallpaper???

One wall in a bedroom? Love the description of 'drunken creature' btw.

mercurymaze · 15/11/2017 21:19

I love that saw it few years ago in anthropologie have no idea where you should put it

madeyemoodysmum · 15/11/2017 21:20

Dining room if you have one

I have a similarly ‘busy’ wallpaper (not quite as fab, though) up one side of my hallway, and going up the stairs, with plain grey paint on the other side. The only thing was I wasted a lot cutting to match patterns going up the stairs - so I cut round some of the creatures on the offcuts and pasted them onto the painted side, so they look like they’re perching on light switches, coat hooks and picture frames. Smaller visitors love trying to find them all...

The downstairs loo

Scissormister · 15/11/2017 21:34

Inside a cupboard or back of shelf www.bhg.com/kitchen/cabinets

Veronicat · 15/11/2017 21:37

Oh that is stunning! Send it to me, I'll find somewhere Wink

NC4now · 15/11/2017 21:37

I’d have it in my study if I had one. I long for that room - lined with book shelves, a log burning fire, a radio and a decent bottle of red wine.
That would be my room of one’s own, and I’d have that wallpaper in it!

foodiefil · 15/11/2017 21:38

Downstairs loo

BusySittingDown · 15/11/2017 21:39

I was going to say downstairs loo but realised that you’ve said you can’t put it in there.

valuerangeweetabixandmilk · 15/11/2017 21:40

Erm...in the bin. Sorry. It looks like it belongs in Mick and Linda's front room in the Queen Vic.
Can you sell it on Ebay?

TheAntiBoop · 15/11/2017 21:45

It's perfect for the downstairs loo. Otherwise it needs to be in a small room that can take the humour - small stairwell? Utility room? Kids bathroom/playroom

picklemepopcorn · 15/11/2017 22:23

On a small space somewhere- the triangular wall under the stairs or other staircase walls, any narrow alcoves or chimney breasts. Do you have plain doors? Maybe wardrobe doors? Or paper the panels in the door if they are big enough.

Use offcuts to cover boxes or bins.

BarbaraOcumbungles · 15/11/2017 22:24

Definitely in the bin Shock

Bluntness100 · 15/11/2017 22:31

I do like a funky wallpaper. Yes it would have been a downstairs loo one for me too. The only other place I could think is along one wall in an upstairs hall way, along the landing. I dont think it would work as a feature wall as such because the back ground colour is too dark.

harrietm87 · 15/11/2017 22:40

Ah it’s a House of Hackney one - love their stuff! I agree with pps - small space is best. Study or even bathroom (top bit of wall), or lining a wardrobe/under stairs cupboard? Depends how much you have really.

valuerangeweetabixandmilk · 15/11/2017 22:45

You could pop over to the wrapping paper porn thread and I'm sure someone would find it fabulous (not helpful)
Were the designers on acid?

AmeliaFlashtart · 15/11/2017 23:34

Office? It's busy and good to look at when gathering thoughts and chewing pen.

Mustang27 · 15/11/2017 23:57

In the bin op lol.

If you love if though wherever you want, it is very busy though so I’d recommend one wall and not in a small space.

ftw · 15/11/2017 23:59

My library, to where I’d retire after dinner every night, with a brandy and a cigar.

Mustang27 · 16/11/2017 00:00

Sorry I meant not in a small room as it will over power it. I like the idea of behind a bookshelf.

MakeMisogynyAHateCrime · 16/11/2017 00:02

Utility room or inside a cupboard as someone else suggested up thread.

franktheskank · 16/11/2017 06:50

I can’t go chopping It up it’s 165 pound a roll GrinShock

I’ll find somewhere for it maybe I’ll get another loo built somewhere 😂

I have a playroom which I’ve considered turning into a sort of library room because it’s mostly books and Lego in there anyway. It has a blackboard wall in there at the moment so could definitely take the dark colour. But the kids do use that room a lot so can’t take it off them it’d be mean lol.
