Toddler room flooring

We're currently decorating our toddler's room and I'm just wondering if anyone can give me any tips on floor coverings, specifically carpet vs laminate and what might be better. It's a largish room, will eventually house two toddler boys (once the baby starts sleeping through the night we'll move him in there) and it's on the ground floor so noise isn't so much of an issue. Any words of wisdom greatly appreciated!

Laminate. You can wipe spills or accidents and a rug is easy enough to add some warmth.

My DC both got pen on their carpets...once they were older was when the damage really occurred. They did things such as take nail polish and spill it in there...or makeup/perfume/food.

Laminate. Potty training. D&V. Need I say more?

Lol Rat, point taken! Thanks both for your responses.
