Well, not that odd but I am struggling: we have a bay window. I fancy a curved sofa to go into it to excentuate/emphasise the shape. Probably a 4 seater. Been hunting and only found one that looked a bit flimsy and cheap. Any ideas gratefully received!!!

Bit pricey but....

Love it but husband turned up his nose: he wants something comfy to flop in.

I love that Graham and Green sofa!

OP, sounds like a gigantic room if you can fit a 4-seater in the bay.
I think it could be easier to get sth fitted and made to measure - at least it’d be curved at the right angle for the space. Some commercial banquette manufacturers could help with that. Not sure how floppable that would be but presumably you’ve got tons of other seating in the room. I think you might have a problem with the cill height as most sofas are taller than cills.

Thanks for the links. I have not explained myself well. I want the whole thing to be curved rather than just the back. I.e. If people sit at either end of the sofa they would almost face each other or at least be a jaunty angle😀. It's not actually a massive room so that's why I want to maximise the bay. Popped into an interior designer yesterday and she thought about 4K! Argh!

Would a corner sofa work if you got a "C" shape rather than an "L" shape, sort of like this one?

SpecialAgentDaleCooper · 12/11/2017 10:12

Thinking about it I've quite often seen curved sofas in waiting room type settings (eg the waiting area for physio in our quite new, modern community hospital) - the sectional sort that are a bit like the Beliani one flumpybear linked to but with fixed back cushions not the loose ones like on the link.

I wonder if there's an office/business/school supplier that might have something suitable or whether they'll be a bit too utility over comfort

Just found one on an Italian website...only £12,000...and it wasn't even a nice colour! Grin

Are you sure it would be that comfy, OP? I was jus googling images and I can’t imagine being able to stretch out comfortably because you’d have to contort your body to fit along the sofa, unless you add a footstool and sit that way.
Will be interested to see what you go with anyway!

Not really but as long as it looks nice Smile

You want an angled sofa
Something like this shape

Secondhand! We have a GPlan curved sofa n the garage waiting to be recovered - I fell in love with the shape. £100 or less off eBay, and £1K quote to reupholster.

Have you checked Homesense? My local store gets some absolutely beautiful sofas, I fall in love with a different one each month!

Catmint · 17/11/2017 18:26

Long Eaton sofas. You can pretty much design your own, based on existing carcasses.
