Stenciling

Ive just repainted my stairs and landing. To do so I took down the large collection of photographs. I have a large wall that now looks very blank. I don't really want to put the photos back up but fancy something else instead. I love the look of stenciled mandala artwork I've seen on pinterest. Has anyone tried stenciling and is it easy enough to do?

Sounds like the sort of thing that would date very quickly.

I stencilled my wall a few years ago and still love it . It was a lot of faff getting it straight vertically and horizontally for repeats, and I used advice to spray the stencil with re-positionable spray adhesive, which helped but I still needed tape sometimes.
