So I finally thought i had decided what to put on my kitchen floor and bought this plain slate effect vinyl.

But then a sample of a patterned flooring arrived that I ordered last week and now I can’t make my mind up

Which would you choose?

I wou.d go for the patterned. We have the slate effect in our bathroom and it shows all the water marks

Pantah630 · 27/10/2017 18:47

Love both, no help, sorry Blush

Battleax · 27/10/2017 18:48

Second one. Beautiful.

CanIBuffalo · 27/10/2017 18:48

The patterned one but I've just bought a patterned one so I'm biased.

bastardkitty · 27/10/2017 18:51

Be bold and go for the patterned one!

Lesley1980 · 27/10/2017 18:57

I like the patterned one.

MadameJosephine · 27/10/2017 19:09

Thanks everyone. I think I might order the second one and then see what they look like rolled out on the floor and then I can always try to return or sell the other one. It’s only a small kitchen so about £60 for each piece

Where did you get it from?

I like both but agree that its bolder and more interesting to go with the pattern

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 27/10/2017 19:14

I prefer the slate now, but it won't look as nice as the patterned down the line. Patterned much better at hiding water marks etc

WipsGlitter · 27/10/2017 19:15

Plain. That patterned one is everywhere and will scream 2017i in a few years time.

MadameJosephine · 27/10/2017 19:28

hmcAsWas the slate one is from Franks Flooring and the patterned one from best4flooring.co.uk

Or maybe I’ll put the patterned one down and keep the slate one for when it goes out if fashion Grin

I agree that the patterned one is everywhere. I loved it at first but now that its everywhere i am less keen.

Bluesheep8 · 28/10/2017 09:42

Just popping up to say I LOVE the patterned one! Need to check that out for myself It's beautiful !

bluebells1 · 28/10/2017 09:59

The slate. the patterned one is in every single house that I have been to. It sort of looks weird with the oak worktops as well.

Cakecrumbsinmybra · 28/10/2017 20:59

Patterned feature in the middle with plain tile around?

Personally I would go with something quite neutral for the floor and add “features” with things that don’t cost a fortune/massive upheaval to re-do.

Cakecrumbsinmybra · 28/10/2017 21:00

Sorry, I thought they were tiles. Definitely as plain as possible if vinyl!
