"Proper" brass bed v JL Lansbury?

Does anyone have the John Lewis Lansbury bed?

What I really wanted was an old-fashioned brass bed that was considerably higher (as they used to be), but I don't have enough budget left at the moment for a handcrafted £4000 one.

Is the Lansbury any good? Will I regret going for something so low to the floor?

Help me decide.

There’s a Victorian brass bed place in Cocking near Midhurst in Sussex.... traditional refurbished beds.... might be worth a look?
