Where to buy sheepskin rug

Would really love a big sheepskin in the lounge in front of the log burner. We have oak flooring and currently a horrible rug there! Are sheepskins ok to clean or do they get matted and smelly? It won't be walked on just sat on (but also the dog)! Any recommendations of where to buy and advise in general. Seen some on John Lewis but so good customer service etc or should go with an online sheepskin place? Please help! X

I got mine at Dubelm Mill. It sits on a footstool and is lovely and cosy. To keep it from clumping I brush it with a clean (!) plastic dog paddle. Comes up great. They do single and double ones in a variety of colours.

IKEA have some very convincing faux sheepskins, I'm sure I've also seen genuine ones too, obviously much higher price. I think they look lovely, but I have pets and I just wouldn't get a real one. Can't imagine where you'd start washing one and drying it without it ending up stinky or damaged. I'm watching this thread with interest though!

I got a quadruple one from Costco about 14 years ago. It doesn't get walked on and still looks pretty good. There was a thread on here about cleaning them a while ago but i haven't got round to it yet.

We used to let toddler DSs roll about on it it after bath and clean jammies and DCat likes to sleep on it sometimes. It just gets shaken outside and hung in the sun and fresh air when possible.

Seems they still do them and a decent price too.

Link hasn't worked but go onto Costco and search. :)

Please don't. They are so ugly.
