Good quality bedding

I have bought myself a new duvet cover for the first time in years today.

I'm very picky so have stuck to the same one for so long.

I don't like slippery silky feeling ones.

What do I need to look for as a mark of quality ? Is it 100% cotton ?

The one I have doesn't move about and the duvet stays in place.

To make it more difficult I'm a grown adult and want a single cover but not a child's one !

Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

I love marks and spencers bedding. Good quality and reasonably priced. Next is also good

I've seen some lovely looking M&S stuff too. For sth really nice, look for Egyptian cotton 400 thread count (not sure if that's a high street thing, though).

Yy M&S, also Bedeck bedding is lovely quality & sometimes tkmax have some good stuff in.

TK Max have some great bargains sometimes. But make sure you buy a proper bedding brand - Christy or Designers Guild for instance - great quality bedding that is genuinely reduced rather than one of their made up brands purporting to high thread count, but in reality fairly shoddily made up with al the seams out of line.

Autograph high TC is lovely-750 & 1000. These & Debenhams 500tc available sometimes on eBay at bargainous prices. I just bough some 500TC flat sheets for £15.99 instead of £55

The Soak&Sleep Luxury Egyptian 600TC Cotton range is lovely and washes very well.
