Three pendant lights over kitchen island

Everyone seems to have these. They look nice but they seem to be the only way to light up your island!

Any other good ideas?

We have led track lighting along the ridge of the glass roof above ours.

I had to find something very quickly and I have a sloping ceiling so hoping it will look ok. At least not a seriously expensive mistake if it doesn't work.

I have led in the ceiling on a dimmer and a flush ceiking extractor with lights too (though they dont get used much).
