My eldest son has just moved out to go uni and left behind a big room, so instead of it just sitting there most of the year without anyone sleeping in it i said my other son might aswell have it, but he doesnt want to move out of his room!
My daughter might as well move in there, but the carpet if fairly new and grey, not my first choice for a girl!
Any ideas for a colour scheme for an 8 year old?

Won't he want his room when he comes home for the holidays? Confused

Yes but he can have my daughters, seems silly a big room going empty most of the year when she only has a small room

Have you asked him though? I remember when my big sister left for uni, she would have gone mad if her room had been given to me! She came back every holiday and moved back in for three years after uni!

But...practically it seems sensible as an 8 year old has more stuff in a way...with toys etc.

Grey is actually a great colour...it goes with pink very well and also with red.

A pallete of misty greys, pinks and whites with a few red touches looks gorgeous/

Keep the walls fairly nuetral with an off white/pale grey and then accent with a bright colour of your daughter's choice. Pink, yellow, peach and orange all go well with grey.

I quite like this. Although she has shocking pink and lime green accessories at the mo so not sure if that would go
