Decorating a new house

Hi - if anyone has decorated a house from scratch do you have any tips?

Which room to start on
Priority purchases

We have about 4 weeks without living there to get things sorted / started!

We did kitchen, living room, office, our bedroom, kids bedrooms then bathrooms. Basically prioritized rooms which would cause most disruption. We got the decorators in though. Think they took about a week.
All the colours we used were the same sort of depth: strong pastels, which I think helped pull it all together.
