Mdf or hardwood(shutter blinds)????

I'm in a pickle can anyone tell me what's the best to buy mdf or HW...I'm buying white shutters .i know mdf are cheaper. But want long lasting and no problems... any feedback much appreciated.

We've got MDF and they're absolutely fine. They've been in 5 years, no issues. I really couldn't tell the difference in the samples. We've got a modern house so MDF seemed fine. I really can't tell the difference so didn't think it was worth paying (even) more.

I'm looking at shutters and thinking MDF as can't tell the difference.

Same as Flomper, but even if I had a period property, I think MDF would be ok - as mine truly look like wood.

Where are you getting your shutters from Elzlibzpops? Any I find online take 10 - 12 weeks to come.

Wood shrinks and expands with heat and damp. Mdf is better.
