Oyster coloured paint?

The room is currently brilliant white which is not easy on the eye. Curtains will be an oyster shade with a duck egg pattern.
Off to look at paints tomorrow....does anyone have any recommendations for a softer shade of white?

Dulux Almost Oyster is nice - we have it in our spare bedroom.

I was disappointed with Almost Oyster, it's quite dark. I'd get some match pot samples.

I know what you mean JT. I guess it depends on the light/position of the room. I tried Polished Pebble in our bedroom, it was like battleship grey! Just AWFUL. We went with Just Walnut there in the end which is definitely a soft grey. I agree, tester pots along a 'theme' of colours, painted on every wall is the thing to do.

I've had Just walnut before and loved it but I think.it might be too much next to curtains.

It's a very light room

Oh. Sorry Crisp I wasn't recommendingredients Just Walnut. I was just commenting that the room light/position will make (sometimes a weird) difference.

I hate my phone. Why?! Why!

I had Almost Oyster which was a lovely pale cream - not too yellow, just right - in my family. I had it repainted at the weekend and asked for it to be done the same colour. When i came back the room was a deeper mocha colour - Dulux have obviously changed the shade. I still had a sample pot from the original paint so i know it was the right paint i asked for. Thankfully i quite like the new shade but the old shade was better.

Timeless (delux) and Grecian White (dulux trade) are both nice. Definitely white but without the glare.

Sail white Dulux is not too creamy but not stark. Beside brilliant white it's a warm soft very pale grey. If the room is very bright then something a tad darker like F&B Cornforth White is a lovely oyster shade.

Yes that's the shade it came out in my room. I just left it as we were selling the house. It wasn't awful, but I would have liked it to be lighter. I used a tester so perhaps it was an old one.
