Think I have decided on the zinc from dfs, I need a 4 seater and a cuddler but can't decide what colour or fabric.

I love the navy leather, the teal fabric, the charcoal fabric and the aqua velvet. Not sure whether to get both the same or two different contrasting colours

Maybe 4 seater in teal fabric and cuddler in navy leather? Or the other way around?

Or 4 seater in navy leather and cuddler in aqua velvet?

I have a 4 year old and a cat though so is velvet madness?

Help!

Hi I have the 4 seater leather navy zinc. I loooove it, only got it recently.

I too love the velvet but due to the couch being in our open plan kitchen'/living room I couldn't go for velvet. I have a toddler, our previous couch was fabric and it got ruined, food stains, drink spills, vomited on when dc was sick. It was painful trying to keep it clean.

I think I would go for leather 4 seater and velvet cuddler if I was you.

I'm hoping to get the cuddler in time, don't think I have the space but I will squash it in, the cuddler is fab.

What room will they be in?

Don't get leather if you have cats. Our two have plucked two leather sofas. Now d's is bigger we are having fabric this time

Don't get matching sofas. That looks just terrible.

JoJoSM2 · 28/08/2017 11:57

I'm not a fan of matching suites either.

My advice would be to go for relatively neutral colours. Sofas tend to be big purchases that people keep for years. If you decide to update the space in a couple of years, you'll be able to just change cushion covers and rug etc to give the place a different look. A sofa in a statement colour can really limit options.

Don't get leather with cats or dogs, they will scratch it to hell. Get fabric and have it scotch guarded.

Thanks for your replies. It's going on th main living room MFR3. I've actually got leather now and the cat hasn't damaged it at all. She must be one of the only cats on the planet who actually uses her scratching post for its intended purpose. If I could only stop her from peeing on the living room rug she'd be perfect
