Roller blinds - bay window?

Does anyone have roller blinds on a bay window or have seen any in the flesh?

We've just moved into a rental that currently has black pvc Venetians which have seen better days (and are also 20cm too short!).

I've been looking into replacing them with some wooden venetians but they'd have to be made to measure (odd measurements and 180cm drop) therefore cost a small fortune.

Roman blinds were another option but, again, the drop is causing a problem and even out pricing the wooden venetians.

So, roller blinds. They look good on Pinterest but I've never seen any in real life! We're getting neutral coloured curtains so thinking white or 'natural' blinds.

Please post pictures if you have any. I'd like to see if it's Pinterest only idea and doesn't work in the real world!

So completely down, blocks light and no one can see in and down but slatted and lets light in but no one can have a proper nosey in your window?

That sounds good as we are on quite a busy pedestrian path and everyone seems very interested in looking in.

I'll google now, thanks.

If anyone else has any photos, I'd appreciate it!

I have them in my bedroom bay windows (3 separate windows within the bay) and they look fine, I have curtains too, the blinds are really just to help keep the light out.

I have had roller blinds in sitting room bay window for a few years. They are plain cream. To date they have been gone but TBH am now thinking they are boring and blah so thinking of changing to slatted wooden blinds or roman blinds.

Thanks everyone.

I think we might go for some that aren't too expensive first to make sure we like it.

I'd love the wooden shutters but can't justify the expense at the moment - poor student.

We can live with boring and blah until I graduate and get back out into the real world Grin

Have you considered sheer roller blinds? It's all the rage now apparently. You'll still get the light and it will look better than regular roller blinds which have a tendency to look like random bits of wall of they are plain.

I hadn't Dina but I'll definitely have a look. I'm looking for modern so all the rage sounds good Smile

Ikea do a good range of sheer roller blinds, have quite a good range of sizes might be worth a look.

Hello
Does anyone know if the sheer roller blinds would work in a bathroom window? Our ensuite has a large bay window in it (with the bath in the bay) and I don't want to be silhouetted at night rising from my bath in the buff (I'm sure I'd give my neighbours heart attack).
