Shutters

I love the look of shutters and have been quoted about £1100 by a local company for their entry level ones in my large bay window.

My only concern is blocking out too much light (I'd go white) and keeping them clean. Does anyone have them?!

Yes , also on a large bay window.
I got them when there was an offer of 25% off so paid around £800
They do cut the light down a little bit so I probably wouldn't use them in a dark room.
Ours is a light south facing room and I love them, no problem keeping clean ..they just need occasional dusting and wiping down..I hardly ever do it.

My dog's first job in the morning is to open them and make sure we're protected Hmm

Have shutters in our north facing living room. They do cut the light, but would buy them again.

Only advice is to go for a larger shutter size.

I have them & don't find they cut out light, I keep my clean by hoovering with the brush attachment, or use one of those long handled cloth dusters, second the wide slats as maybe the thinner ones do cut the light.
