Family photoshoot?

I really want a photoshoot for me, my partner and 7 month old baby to put on a canvas as we don't have a single photo of the 3 of us yet that isn't a selfie! My friend recommended her mum, who at £40 for an hour and 35 photos isn't bad. The only thing is she only does outdoor shoots, and i always imagined it in a studio. Has anyone had an outdoor family shoot? Was it any good?

I get professional photos taken of my son every year and would always choose outdoor over a studio. The results are lovely, you can be more natural Andrea unposed outdoors and the landscape becomes part of the portrait.

There are 4 photographers in my area whose work I really rate and they all prefer and encourage outdoor sessions despite having a studio setting for newborn shoots.
