paint colour help please

we moved into our house 2 yrs ago now and have done NO decoration. All the walls were white (now mucky white) and it it so boring. I'm ready to do some painting. But I'm rubbish at choosing colours.

So, we have a N facing large kitchen/diner with cream floor tiles, light wood units and a black worktop.

How would you decorate the walls? (I will buy new window blinds to match.)

With cream floor tiles, light wood units and a black worktop, you could go with all sorts of colours.

I would suggest you have a look on Pinterest or Google Images, or look through some house magazines to get inspiration, and see what YOU like. If you ask 10 people here, you could get 10 different answers!
