Leather or faux leather bar stools

Does anyone have real leather bar stools in their kitchen? Thinking it would be more luxurious but worried it would scratch / mark more easily and don't want to be precious about them. Any advice? Thanks

I think either go for real leather and accept that things become worn over time (which adds to their appeal IMO), or go for a different material altogether. There is nothing luxurious about faux anything.
