Is anyone else a World of Interiors fan or is it just me? I look forward to the thick white envelope every month thumping through my letterbox. WoI appreciation thread anyone??

Me me me!

I especially love the rundown old farmhouses that haven't been touched for 50 years and have original William Morris wallpaper in the bathroom etc. And the Italian castles lived in part-time and owned by people who describe themselves as eg a "sculptor and fashion photographer", which really means "married to a financier" and/or "heir to a massive fortune".

I love it.

I've not heard of it but I'm interested!!! I just looked on the website. Is it good value for money?

krakentoast · 01/08/2017 13:10

TBH nothing about it is good value for money. It's full of adverts for baths that cost £50,000. It's a ridiculous extravagance altogether but the pics are beautiful!

Oh my goodness I didn't realise anyone had replied !! Krakentoast me too they are my favourite articles, the more destitute and untouched the posher it seems to be. Have you seen this month's copy? I've just finished the Luck of the dealer article and am about to start the Lore and Order ( shirts stuffed inside a loaf of bread?!) - utter bonkersness. It has helped me develop extremely expensive taste which my budget will never be able to fund though....

Dressinblack I have a subscription that's costs £22 for 6 issues so I think it is good value for the magazine but the content is super high end and 'artisan' but the articles cover people and places you'll never read about in a high street magazine, it is really very interesting.

I love it! Cancelled my subscription last year when I realised I mainly just looked at the photos but you're tempting me to subscribe again. My favourites were an artist in Morocco who knocked down all the internal walls in his house and was surprised when the roof caved in. But he had some fabulous boys who helped him rebuild. Also a lady in Scandinavia who sellotaped feathers to her walls and whose ultimate ambition was to live in an unconverted chapel. Such outrageous fabulousness!

Lore and Order in the September issue is fantastic. It has a pic of the shirt baked in salt and framed, too. I also liked the Heated Debate feature with the mad tobacco-stained chandelier.

I, too, now have extremely expensive taste for utterly crazy whimsy! Where can I get myself an abandoned Swiss cathedral which once belonged to Lord Byron, or similar?

The Moroccan ones are pretty much always beautiful, generally with incredible tiles on every surface... mmmm...

Is this the June one? I haven’t got it yet...

applespearsbears · 09/05/2018 22:03

Omg!!! Let’s talk Annabelle’s! Richard Caring had no budget limits. From the custom made everything to the Fortuny to the Rose quartz bathrooms to the agate floors.... and throw in a few Picassos and Modigliani! I’ve been to the old Annabelle’s but it was nowhere near this wow!!!!!

applespearsbears · 10/05/2018 09:42

It's the most over the top design ... and I love it! The bathroom, the elephant room everything!
