Enlighten me: why are some lampshades so much more expensive than others?

I found a decent one in a bargain store for a couple of quid but then those in places like Pooky - which, I must admit, do look beautiful- sell them for £100+

Anyone?

I suppose it's the same as with anything. A product mass produced in China, made from cheaper materials is always going to cost less than a handmade product made with quality materials.
