Laminate floor underlay- recommendations?

The floor is being laid on a plywood surface (not ground floor) so I'm assuming I don't need a moisture barrier. There are just so many to chose from and I'm overwhelmed. If I just lay the cheapest sort of underlay will I regret it (willing to pay a bit more if it's worth it)? Room is 11m sq.

I just had lino laid (carpet right cheapie) and they said they DON'T put underlay under lino....

My laminate boards (not lino) are from carpetright too, Waa (if I use their underlay - pkts of 10m sq- there's too much wastage).

Wickes sell cheaper thin foam stuff but wondered if it's worth buying something a bit more glam.
