How to accessorise with this armchair?!

My husband has come home from Ikea with this www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/sofas-armchairs/armchairs/strandmon-wing-chair-gillhov-multicolour-art-00359857/
He loves it. I don't hate it. But I am not sure how to tie it into our living room. We have just finished some renovations so the room is a blank canvas, neutral oatmeal colour carpet, dulux timeless (off-white) walls. Navy sofas (Ikea Norsborg) and white bookcases and TV stand at the moment. We were thinking of a feature wall in some kind of yellow, I know these are considered naff on here but I do want some colour but am not quite ready to paint/wallpaper the whole room. No blinds/curtains as yet. Any ideas? Should I just keep the walls white-ish and have some big bright canvases, hopefully picking up colours in the chair? What about window dressing - I guess with that pattern we are looking at a plain colour so as not to clash?
I am so hopeless at this kind of thing but I do want it to look nice. Any ideas much appreciated.

Ooh love the emerald green in there. That's the colour I'd pick out, personally. Green lamp shade? Throw on navy blue sofa? Cushions? A big floor plant?

Thanks Little, I hadn't thought of the green...i do like green... Not sure how it would look with the navy but if I could find the right tone maybe it could work.

I too would say green. I think the right shade of green can look fab with navy blue.

I have the same chair, bit of an impulse purchase and I was unsure about the pattern at first but now I love it. It ties the room together. I'll add a pic, my walls are a light taupe colour (Homebase Putty) with the chimney breast in Hague Blue. We have a tan leather sofa with mustard yellow as an accent colour in some cushions and a light shade.

The blind is quite neutral, I wouldn't say it exactly goes but it doesn't clash and ties in with the linen cushions I have on the sofa.

I think that's lovely and will go really well.

Ooh thanks everyone, that is really helpful. I do like the idea of emerald green so will definitely give this more thought. Blackgrouse your room looks amazing! Love Hague blue and the chair looks great in front of it. Actually seeing the photo of the chair in situ makes me like it more. I just hope I can pull something together which works, I'm not very confident in matters interior design but always know what I like when I see it in other peoples houses.

Thanks Grannyroberts. The room used to be very bland, all neutral and beige. It still needs some pictures and something doing with the fireplace but it's getting there.

If you want to try a yellow Farrow & Balls India or Sudbury yellows, or that kind of mustard yellow, look like they would go. I think yellow looks good with navy.

I've put quite a few plants in the room (Ikea's good for large plants and have some lovely wicker plant pots) to bring some green in.

Brilliant, thanks Blackgrouse I'll check those colours out too. We do like houseplants so they will definitely feature!
