Is this kind of wall art naff?

I'd quite like to buy a roll of lovely wallpaper - put over a big canvas and hang in the hallway.

Walls are cream - big Victorian house.

Would it be just a bit naff though?

I don't think it's naff. A feature wall would be naff, but you can get away with a canvas.

I think you should do what they did in that Brooklyn cafe and put some fake bullet holes in the plaster and pretend the room was once used as an illegal gun store.

There is some beautiful wallpapers out there, I'd urge you to get a sample first, the difference between an online pic and the reality is astounding when it comes to wallpapers, pics don't show them accurately, due to textures and shades.

I think not naff but I'd probably wall paper personally.
