Non-IKEA doors for IKEA Pax wardrobes

Hi - am looking at getting the IKEA Pax wardrobes for my daughter's new bedroom, however I'm not keen on the doors they come with and would like to order some different doors to be added to the wardrobe carcasses. Does anyone have any experience of this and recommendations for companies they've used? Thanks

What kind of doors are you looking for??
Just got pax with sliding oak and mirror panel doors for my DD
They had such a huge choice there of all sorts of doors, colours and combos

I've looked into this and there are lots of places that sell made to measure doors. Some have standard finishes, others will colour match to your chosen paint and others will provide the doors primed but not painted. I haven't ordered any yet so can't recommend anyone but have Googled extensively.

I looked into it in the past but the cost of the customizing IKEA furniture was often more than getting an equivalent from somewhere else.

There are about 15 different doors that go with the Pax wardrobes - dis you not like any of them?

Hi - thanks for the responses. i like traditional shaker style doors (on hinges rather than sliding) but not keen on the ikea options. have found a couple of companies that do a range of made to measure doors and don't seem too extortionate, so have ordered some colour samples and will see what they are like.

We're doing that. Wardrobes are in, been to sèe the doors. Have a range of finishes in Ikea sizes but also do custom sizes. We have "hacked" the PAX frames to make them look fitted so this works for us. Just got to order now!

How did you hack the Pax and how much are custom doors on average? We wanted fitted but cost was too high as we still need to paint and decorate.

We had a gap of 2.9m with a slope on one end and a ceiling height of 2.2m or so. Bought the smaller size (about 2m off too of my head), 6 x 50cm. Got joiner to reduce size of one to 40cm so they fit exactly across width, and to build cupboard across the top, incorporating the slope so they are floor to ceiling.
