Mixing Metal Finishes In Kitchen

Hi

We have recently bought a holiday lodge, the extractor hood/splashback/sink/cupboard handles are all brushed metal.

I have found the kettle/toaster/coffee machine I would like (sage by heston blumenthal in champagne).

Do you think combining brushed and polished metal will work?
I am thinking some manufactureres combine both in appliances (for example I seen a kettle with brushed body and polished trim on the bottom). The sage coffee machine is polished but has a brushed jug.

My thought is I wouldn't be able to match the brushed finish exactly anyway, so it may look worse.

Have you done this or do you just stick with one finish?

Thanks in advance

Lea

I think it would be fine. I thought you were going to match brass and steel which might not look so great.
