Marble bathroom maintenance

Trying to persuade DH to go for marble bathroom for en suite after finding beautiful real honed marble tile in Topps (serac).

He's against it because of the maintenance of sealing it every couple of years.

How much work is this and if you can't do it yourself (or don't want to risk) how much does it cost for someone to come in and do it?

Any points for or against from people who have used it?

I was told marble in a toilet often had a yellow tinge...... Put me right off. I bought beautiful fake marble tiles instead. Each one was different so it looks fairly real.
