Hello! we're moving into a house in (fingers crossed)2/3 weeks and i just saw a really lovely bed on made.com but it says delivery takes 8/10 weeks for delivery, we've bought the house but are moving from an furnished rented house so we don't actually have a bed and on top of this we are expecting dc2 in about 7 weeks, eeek! does anyone have experience of them ? Are the over exaggerating delivery time to cover their backs?

When I used them my (admittedly lovely) chairs really took 8 weeks to arrive, so I think they mean it!

oh damn! maybe we could just camp on a mattress till it arrives! really starting to regret moving so close to the baby arriving!!

Yep, I ordered lamps and they arrived one day short of the max delivery estimate, which was I think 8 weeks.
We got a lovely bed from get laid beds which was a bit quicker I think, and good customer service, worth checking them out. Different styles have very different lead times I think.

I bought lights, they said 3 working days and they arrived on the 3rd working day. I was kept informed throughout. I'd order from them again and I would guess their estimates are accurate.

We bought our bed from there. Took longer than the stated time. That wasn't too bad. Then one part was dyed incorrectly/marked so had to be swopped which took another two weeks. When the new part was delivered they had to bring a whole new bed in just to swop the one bit, and the new bit was also marked so we had to do it again. Took about 4-5 months in total and was so much faff calling them up and trying to explain. In the end I kept a piece which isn't dyed right but not visible unless you know where to look. Not really what you expect when you buy something new.

I wouldn't use them again tbh. Sorry, not what you want to hear.

I also think a lot of stuff they sell isn't unique to them, so have a good Google / do a reverse image search- may find it cheaper/available sooner.

Have you looked at Warren Evans beds? Most have short delivery times and I have found them great to deal with. Would really recommend.
