Ikea bathrooms - yay or nay?

Just about to redo my bathroom and wondering whether the quality and finish of Ikea bathroom cabinets is OK. I have been to look in my local store - but how do they wear?

I am tempted by them (a) because of the price (b) because they have a lot of storage space and (c) because you can buy them off the shelf (I'm in quite a hurry) - but I don't want my bathroom to end up looking cheap or scruffy.

Also, can I use non Ikea taps with them or does this get complicated?
Any experience?

This is our family bathroom, the sink and unit are from Ikea, and the other items are all from different online companies. The tap is also ikea but their sinks will take any tap. The only complicated bits can be the waste that ikea supplies, sometimes it's not compatible with your existing plumbing. But you can buy a waste separately (they're quite cheap) from plumbing shop etc.

I think ikea bathroom stuff has a really nice look and it's pretty sturdy compared with some cheap stuff I have bought from Argos/Wilko/Home Bargains.

I have one of the ikea sink units with 2 drawers, it's absolutely brilliant! I love it!
Have a bristan tap on it, no problems at all!

I've got the double IKEA sink in the two drawer unit with groche taps. 3 years in and looks great. Two sinks is brilliant in the morning panic.

Thanks! It looks good in the photo picky. I do think their design is very good. Good to know you can combine with other taps.
