Shutters and curtains

Please help, we have shutters on the downstairs by window (not put in by us) and I want to put curtains up. The shutters cover approx 2/3rds of each window (so the tops are uncovered). There is no track or anything. What sort of track do I need to cope with the shutters too. To make matters more complicated the window frame sits just below the plaster moulding. With everything else, made to measure is beyond our budget but I want something sorted by the autumn. Thanks

We have cafe shutters and curtains too. curtains are on poles, is there any room for a pole? Not sure what difference having shutters makes as they are in the window recess and curtains would be on the outside? Correct me if I'm wrong!

Sadly think there might not be room for a pole. The shutters almost sit in front of the window frames, very odd!
