Paint colour to go with deep pink/red carpet?

We've just moved house and the carpet in the hall is a deep pinky-red colour. Still nice and clean with deep pile, so it would be a total waste to get rid of it!

The walls are white at the moment - any suggestions of paint colours/decor ideas to make it look a bit more up to date?

I was looking at the dulux website today, for colours to go with a blue I like. If you find a similar red/pink, then click on 'colour combinations', it will suggest three different colour schemes for you. Might give you an idea!

Not sure if this pinky red is A good match, but you get the idea...

Dulux Caramel Latte will work as will Natural Hessian and Egyptian Cotton.

Are you sure the walls are currently white? Looks decidedly creamy to me.

They were white but I think they are dirty!

Thanks for the suggestions - I found a dulux app which has helped. A warm caramel colour would look good I think...

I am personally very fond of a red/pink clash and I would be tempted to try a dusty pink like F&B Calamine with crisp white woodwork.

I appreciate that this is not everyone's cup of tea...!

F&b's great white is very nice - white but pinky grey in some light.

Also f&b peignoir which is a bit darker would look v classy

my house when growing up haad red carpet and magnolia walls. now I have a red carpet with a cream colour wall paint. it looks lovely.

I'd put grey with it!
