Pompom arrangement!

I'm in the process of painting DD's bedroom a pale aqua colour and I've bought several (probably too many) white paper pom-poms which I'm intending to have on the ceiling in some form. I got the idea from a picture similar to the one I've attached with the turquoise pom-poms and was originally intending to have them just like that, but have since seen various other arrangements which look really pretty too and I'm now completely torn. To potentially save me several hours teetering at the top of a stepladder, could I get please your opinions on which arrangement looks best?

I'd have them dangling from the ceiling on different length threads. It seems a shame to attach them to a wall and potentially squash one side of them.

I agree - they do look pretty and a bit more delicate hanging separately. Possibly a bit like clouds against the pale turquoise walls which would look nice I think, and nice for dd to look up at when she's in bed
