Can I show you my dds'bedroom?

I recently swapped bedrooms with my DDs so they could have the bigger one and I've sectioned it off so they have half each. Just put the finishing touches to it (they each chose their own colours, I just put them to use). I took a video but can't attach it, I'll put it in next post. I know it's probably not to everyone's taste but I did it all myself and I'm very proud (it's paint not wallpaper)

I have to admit, I didn't do the ceiling as it looked ok. And all the upstairs doors need done when I get round to it. Shock Wink. Anyone else want to share their DC's rooms?

Panna my DD was thinking about a zebra print feature wall but found this wallpaper in Range. The pic doesn't do it justice, it kind of glints slightly in the light. The rest of the walls are white and fabrics, rugs etc are red with a few pictures on the walls. It is gorgeous.

My bedroom is gorgeous powder blue & white with nice lighting. It is a sanctuary of calm I escape to. I cant send pic because it is the opposite of a sanctuary today and more like a dump.

The colour blocks look great - really precise

Paspaleyplaza · 28/06/2017 17:29

pannalash I'm a big fan of pale turquoise/aqua - very pretty but calm and not too 'little girl-ish'. Also goes well with lots of other colours. Dulux 'lagoon falls' and 'crystal surprise' 5 and 'Javan dawn' 5 are lovely

Wow I'm impressed. Looks so fresh and clean!

Your daughters all have lovely bedrooms Smile

Love the pic of your bed with the dog on it too Grin

PalomaViolets · 28/06/2017 17:34

Love how bright it is! Did you use frog tape?

PalomaViolets · 28/06/2017 17:35

I'm on my phone and can't view the video.

DontOpenDeadInside · 28/06/2017 18:08

No it's just old fashioned masking tape. Took a while to measure it all out and tape it up. The blue side looks slanted but it's the wall not my painting Wink

Wow, the rooms looks amazing. Very well done!

MrsPringles · 29/06/2017 08:41

Op that looks fab! I love the stripes, your girls must be made up Smile

This is DS's room, he's 2 and thinks it's the best thing eveeerrrr.
His bed was built into what was an airing cupboard, his room isn't huge and it was such of a waste of space so DH built the bed into the cupboard, it took ages but he's so proud of it

Mrs Pringles, what a good idea for a wasted space. Dd1 has 2 cupboards in her room just full of junk, but I'm not handy enough to turn them into something. (Plus it's a HA house)

Lovely! The lines must have taken some patience!
Where did you get the coloured letters from!

DontOpenDeadInside · 01/07/2017 09:47

The coloured letters were just plain white ones from Vertbaudet about 6/7 years ago. They don't do them now as when I found out I lost the Y (been in storage since we moved), I had a look to see if they had them still. eBay etc have them but are slightly smaller (these are 25cm the eBay ones 20.5cm) which is why I had to make one out of cardboard and Papiér maché.

I finished dd1s room yesterday, though it's still a bit messy as she's got bits n bobs I didn't know where she wanted. Considering purple curtains? Though not sure. Those blue ones are just temporary until we decide.

Look in Hobbycraft for letters, they have wooden and paper mache type ones. All different sizes, about £2-3 each Smile

I think it looks amazing
