A quick question for you wise kitchen-planners of mumsnet.

I've read every previous thread I can find, gleaned a lot of useful advice (plan your bin, drawers, drawers, drawers) and, after months of agonising l'm just about there. Just one outstanding issue...

In our open plan kitchen diner we have room for an 1800mm run of pan drawers. As the hob has to go on this run we were going to have 3 x 600mm pan drawers, with the hob over the middle one but I'm now thinking 2 x 900 with the hob centrally positioned across the two drawer units. I prefer the look of the larger drawers, and you get more storage in two 900s than three 600s. But, do you think this will look ok? Or will the hob look weird straddling two units instead of in the middle of one? I'm having trouble visualising!

Any opinions welcome. Thanks everyone!

I think it would work, it was one of the options I was considering for ours. I've seen a few pictures of a job straddling 2 single ovens so don't see why it wouldn't work over pan drawers.

What about one 900mm in the middle with two 450 either side? I think the two would be quite narrow but there are items you could put in there. Just a thought.

I am actually doing similar but with one 900 in the middle and a 600 either side. I think that will look balanced and give me lots of opportunities.

Thanks quitmoaning, that's a really good suggestion. Appreciate your thoughts and good luck with your own kitchen - wish I had the room to do what you're doing!
