Bay window curtain help!

We've move into a Victorian house recently with high ceilings and lovely bay windows.

I want to buy/have some curtains made but I just don't know what I need.

There are already some tracks in place, I just need the curtains but what type of curtains do I need?!

I've been looking around and it's driving me potty!! Pencil pleated? Can any curtain be fitted to tracks? I'm guessing not but just don't know what I'm supposed to be looking for...

Curtains for tracks need to be pleated with tape, not eyelets.
Go to a curtain shop like Dunelm. There you will see the different heading tapes and a wide variety of fabric.

Thanks that's helpful. However I might need a bit more help, I've been looking at dunelm and JL and I'm lost, I can't make sense of it all.

Yes, or pencil pleat curtains.
You will need curtain hooks to attach the curtains to the fittings on the track.
If you can get to a shop like Dunelm there will be someone to advise you on what you need.

It's personal choice, the track is fairly unobtrusive, the top of the curtains will cover it when they're closed.

Are there any hooks left behind on the curtain track? You will need the same type of hooks as these as not all hooks are interchangeable for all tracks - I've been caught out like this before!

And yes, you need pencil pleat, and the width of the curtain you are looking for should be roughly double the length of the track for fullness.
