Hi all. Anyone have a recent Ikea gloss kitchen? How easy are they to keep clean and scratch free? Ive heard some expensive kitchens from elsewhere are a nightmare but Ikea reviews seem good.

We have a white gloss (RINGHULT, I think) IKEA kitchen which has been in for two years. Not a single scratch or dent (we have two small children and aren't particularly careful) and it's a doddle to keep clean. Fingerprints don't really show up unless the light catches it just right.

Thanks VeryPunny - thats just what I wanted to hear!! :)

We had an IKEA kitchen, gloss white doors and found it excellent quality.

No little children though in our household.

I've been looking at them too; they do look really nice

I have a friend who had a black Gloss Ikea one fitted about 10 years ago and it still looks like new imo. People say black shows up finger prints more but I've never really noticed any and she has young DC. Though I've never looked for finger print marks so she might say different.

I put in the cheapest IKEA kitchen with white gloss doors (KNOXHULT) six months ago. The handles are matte so no problems with finger marks.
The only thing I find is that drips from the sink need to be wiped off with a towel and cleaned with Windolene (ammonia based so no streaks) and a soft cloth every few days.
We do have very hard water, though...

We've had ours for probably 5-6 years - whitegloss. 3 young children . It doesn't show up marks easily and when it does, it is a doddle to clean. We have a couple of little dinks (tiny) but that was from dropping something really heavy into the edge of an open door Confused.

Very good quality - I would get another one.

I've had mine for about 12 years. No marks or scratches and they have had quite a bit of punishment. I can't remember what they are called but they aren't the ones mentioned upthread.
