Cooker on the end?

I'm thinking of re-hashing my kitchen. To do what I want to do, the cooker would not have a unit on one side of it. It would have a cupboard on the left but not the right due to space restrictions.

Will this look really bad? If I still had small children, I wouldn't even contemplate it due to safety issues, but my children are grown up now.

TIA

Personally I wouldn't, always looks slightly odd as though it's been shoved in & I think you would miss having worktop space, either side of the cooker but it's your kitchen, so do what works for you.

I had this set up in a rented place. It did look odd, and my three-year-old burnt his hand on the hotplate, even though I was standing right there.
It was so dangerous.
I know that's not an issue for you but if you plan to sell or have grandkids, it could be a problem.
I wouldn't.

Thanks both, I really appreciate your thoughts, both very valid. I would miss the work top on the other side, and good point about when I come to sell. Back to the drawing board 🤔
