How do I make a brightest purple gloss a darker purple?

For my double garage door....
I have a purple paint and while I like the colour, I fear it might send the neighbours potty. My plan is the make it a much darker purple which won't dazzle upset the neighbours! Which colour shall I mix it with?

Bright ish....

Black or dark blue I would imagine... I'd try blue first.

Yes, I was thinking dark blue but, like you, I don't really have a clue what I'm doing!

You'd need to use the same type of paint, and I'd go for a dark blue, you'll get a deeper purple rather than a plum purple if you use a red, black probably won't mix too well.

Dark blue, maybe a little red.
But yes to matching brand and finish of the paint.
