Where can I buy a kitchen light that doesn't look like some 90s effort?

I want a new light for the kitchen. The sort with a few spot lights on a bar. However everything I look at seems to be some wavy chrome job from the 90s.
Where can I get something a bit more modern?

Loving your use of 'effort' meaning crap object. Takes me right back!

What about LED track lights? We have these in our kitchen. The tracks can be linked together and you fit the number of spots you want in the design you like to the track. Tracks come in different colours.

I had the same dilemma when looking for a light for my kitchen last year. Most typical spotlight type ones so uninspiring!

We ended up getting this...https://www.notonthehighstreet.com/uniques/product/adjustable-three-way-ceiling-light

Each shade can be switched on and angled independently.
