What to do for people to stay the night?

We are nearing the finish line on our revocation project.

Money is tight.

Some friends live a good 4 hours away and will want to stay over sometimes.

The layout upstairs currently means there are two big double bedrooms, one of which will be baby's room eventually.

So I don't want to make it a specific guest room but would like to have the option of something we can put up for people to sleep on that's not too expensive.

Considering - sofa bed? Z bed? Day bed?

Anyone done similar?

I was in a similar position, I have an office in my spare room and seeing as I use that several times a week didn't want
To lose it for an occasionally used guest room!! I have a lovely sofa in the corner that folds out into a bed.
Really nice to have somewhere confier than mydesk to sit sometimes when reading but when I fold it out makes a nice double bed.
I chose bedding that matched the room and nice cushions etc so I think when it's In guest room
Mode it really does look nice and inviting Grin
