Does anyone have any ideas on how to add blinds to a window and a door next to each other? Photo attached, it's my back door leading from my kitchen.
I've had the man from Hilary's take a look at it when he was doing another blind in the kitchen, but we couldn't think of a solution at the time and it wasn't really a priority so we left it for the time being. The other blind in the kitchen is a Hilary's patterned roller blind.
The options I can think of are:
- Roller blind which spans the whole stretch, fixed into the wall above the window/door. Might look a bit odd because the blind wouldn't reach the bottom of the glass in the door.
- As above but 2 separate roller blinds. Might look a bit odd because of the fixings.
Either way you would see the unsightly fixings screwed into the wall over the window/door. Can't screw into the plastic because the door opens inwards and the fixing sticks out too much (as demonstrated by Mr Hilary's).
I suppose I could get one of those fabric bits that go over the blind at the top, but our house is quite modern and it might look out of place.
Ideally we'd get more roller blinds from Hilary's to match the one we've already got in that room. Before anyone says it, I appreciate Hilary's can be quite expensive but it was a moving in present from MIL so I was more than happy to go along with it! Having said that it doesn't have to be, our decor is fairly neutral so I'd be quite happy to go with something plain in colours that go.
There is probably an obvious solution I've not thought of!
