Bedroom colourschemes - help!

I loveeeee these bedrooms but wonder if it might seem a bit "cold" in real life IYSWIM?? Thoughts please! Bedroom is currently pretty dark and filled with pine furniture have been dreaming of light and airy... Will it also be a nightmare to keep it looking fresh and not grubby?

Paint pine furniture white and have the dark colour on one wall with neutral on the others? I've been using crown paint visualiser app tonight and found it quite good (you can take a pic or use the quick paint for stock photos to change). I love the stormy blue colour. Also think about which way the room faces and when it is used.

Misty painting the furniture was my plan of action rather than buying new stuff because I'm a cheapskate! It's not bad furniture just outdated I'm a novice with this though- is there a top coat type thing I should put on white painted furniture so stop it getting scuffed? I love the blue too, think I'm going to rejig my layout and then decided about which wall is going to be the dark one!

Use chalk paint and paint pine furniture you get many shades, it's so easy to do no sanding and I've never waxed it after either and still as good as new. So quick. I used the very pale winter grey chalk paint and it's lovely. Example below ( not mine) .

I also love the teal wall.

Thanks for the tip Bluntness! I'm truly clueless when it comes to DIY upcycling projects so need all the tips I can get can't wait to get it all planned and started and buy lots of new faffy trinkets and pot plants!

Avo i LOVE those colour schemes. Blush pink, yellow and teal/navy are so in right now. Grey has been for a while but I think it has plenty of years left in it; a great neutral.

We recently did our bedroom in F&B's Cornfirth white with darker Purbeck stone on woodwork. I picked up some Annie Sloan and mixed my own grey up, plus painted some units white and a grey-blue. Don't forget to buy new knobs (warm metals or glass is more fashionable than chrome!)

Me too Teal! I was a little bit worried because I've leaned more towards warmer and darker tones before so didn't want the room to feel too cool and un-homely if that makes sense. It's taken little to no persuasion to talk me round though do also you find the painted furniture easy to keep clean??

Avo it's ok... 😐 I'll be honest, it does mark easily... coffee rings. Ring the worst culprits. However as the paint is water-based it is cleanable, but it's worth considering that you may need to give the top surfaces a quick repaint once a year. Mind you, compared to painting in the usual way it's so quick and easy I know I saved myself literally days of hard work!

Teal that sounds manageable?! Maybe I'll invest in some copper coasters to match my copper drawer knobs

Honestly no difference in keeping painted v unpainted clean and it makes such a huge difference to the room. It was our spare room stuff, had it for over twenty years and it was pine too..,honestly it looks fab and you'd think it was new. Makes a surprising difference.
