Have gutted the living room and now need inspiration! We are planning on Dulux timeless for walls and need carpet suggestions. Room interlinks with dining room and hall so want same carpet throughout. Something light but not plain so marks don't show. Also getting sofas re-covered and quite fancy a chenille fabric - black, grey and light stripe (or similar) perhaps with the odd stripe of colour. Any comments on how this fabric wears would be great. We have hardwood varnished doors/skirting so these are dark and painting them is not an option. Want it to be smart but we live in our home rather than have it as a show home so stuff must be practical for cleaning etc. Thank you.
