Should I buy this sofa? And other sofa related questions...

I don't really trust my own judgement or style, so votes please - should I buy this sofa? And if so, in teal or grey? It's £899 for a four seater and a bit less for a three or two seater.

DH and I live in a 1950s house and quite like quite clean lines, Festival of Britain/ Barbican type style.

We've got a large red print on the wall - see pic - and wondering if the teal sofa is too much colour in the (pretty small) sitting room.

Views welcome!

I would change the mirror , it's a completely different style to the print and the sofa.
someting funky?

hahahaIdontgetit · 26/03/2017 12:32

I think the teal with red will look good.

PitilessYank · 26/03/2017 16:16

I wouldn't mix the teal with the red,

PitilessYank · 26/03/2017 16:18

Sorry, pushed post too soon. I would place the red art piece elsewhere in the room so that the eye doesn't catch it and the couch at the same time.

I love the teal, but the grey will work better with the red.

The buttons on the back of the first ones you posted really make them a bit more special looking.

I've got a DFS Aurora 2 seater in grey.
Had it almost 2 years and it's lasting very well. We use it daily and our almost 3 year old DS has climbed all over it, and spilt more food and drink, smeared his snotty nose and wiped his sticky fingers over it more than I care to imagine. The 4 cushions can be flipped and the covers come off. I've washed them in the bath a few times (keep on chickening out of putting then in washer)...

ohidoliketobe · 26/03/2017 16:23

We didnt get scotchguard either

Ollivander84 · 26/03/2017 16:58

I have the DFS aurora with footstool and it's lovely

Hang on, OP, have you actually sat on the sofas?

You must, and then decide.

ChardonnayKnickertonSmythe · 26/03/2017 17:02

Oh see you've tried one.

Definitely try the other one too.

CaptainHarville · 26/03/2017 17:33

I love the French connection one in teal. We only didn't buy it because of our awkward access.

Wigeon · 26/03/2017 18:39

Yes, have sat on the French Connection one and it was comfy. Will need to work out if it's worth seeking out the others to sit on!

Ah we bought on sale so juni was same price as French connection one. But delivery and scotch guarding made it cheaper. And I liked the greater range of colours.
But both are gorgeous! And very popular from the number of houses I see on right move with them!

SplodgeBear1988 · 26/03/2017 20:48

We have just got Angelic sofas from DFS. We paid for extra from foam upgrade, scotchguard and glides on feet. I don't think they charged for delivery.
