Odd shaped room, odd shaped rug?

Hopefully buying a house that has a living room with 1) a bay and 2) a corner fire place. Result is odd shaped room. Wondering how to make the best of it, and considering an asymmetrical rug... Any thoughts? It basically has two 'focal points' and i want it to feel like one space rather than two.

Circular rug?

I was thinking almost a kind of S shape, to draw a visual line between the two points.
I don't know why I'm putting so much thought into this. Am convinced something will happen to prevent the sale!
