Large bedroom - ideas for colours please?

I'm decorating a large west facing bedroom. It gets lots of light. A previous owner has put detailed beading(?) on the walls in large squares and there's a wide dado rail, deep moulded skirting and coving. There's a varnished, wooden floor (sadly yellowy pine - not orange though).

Can you offer some ideas for paint colours please? I've had a look at some F and B and have got a bit stuck for choice. The room is large so can take something bolder (Vardo anyone?) Or harmonising tones in the panels and walls? Wallpaper in the papers? Wwyd? Thanks

Any arty types, good with colour around today?

Just looked at Vardo and it's a lovely colour. I'm sure it would look fab paired with white coving, skirting and bedding. I've used Brassica in my west facing bedroom and I love it. Did you see the thread last month about bedrooms? Lots of ideas on there and I always find Pinterest a great source of inspiration.
