Son's favourite colour is pink and wants a pink room. What kind of theme could we go for? I'm thinking more of a brighter pink that's darker? With a musical theme, as I can imagine it looking really nice in my head! But he's not into music.

He's 9 :) any ideas would be fab!

If you did pink, grey and white you could do kind of an 80s theme, block colours etc, that would look pretty cool.

Oh yeah pink and grey sounds good. I was also going to suggest a kind of pink in nature theme, so animals, plants or science type pics on the wall?

Oh fantastic! Thank you

If you google pink in nature there are some cool pics that might give you some ideas.

Pink walls with this kind of duvet would be really cool? Love the other ideas too, will have a look.

And then have the walls in that purple/pink colour or at least a dark pink colour that goes with it. Sorry, I love this science idea! He is obsessed with science so that's why I've become very attached to that idea.

I like this duvet set, you could then pick up stronger shades of grey and pink in the rest of the room.

Or...keep the room fairly muted if you think he may outgrow the colour scheme and then go to town with strong pinks in the bed linen and soft furnishings which are more easily changed.

Love this idea, pink and grey or pink and green go great!

Ooh - x-posted I love that duvet cover.

@PerspicaciaTick that's lovely too but may seem to old for him? Sad

I've just been googling science wall stickers and there are some awesome decals out there which you could add to the walls to keep the science theme going..everything from huge periodic tables to lab equipment.

Thank you @PerspicaciaTick I think it could turn out really great.

It's a shame there isn't just a little bit of pink in the duvet I wish the purple was pink as he wants this kind of colour on the walls, would it still go?? If not, I might try and get the purple colour that's in the duvet. Mind you, I think this kind of pink would still work? As it's still the same kind of bold as the other colours in the duvet.

Actually, I think part of that is pink? I'm going to get the pink that matches that!

Oh I'm super excited! Thank you all

That looks pink to me and would look great with the wall. I hope he's as excited as you!

One of my kids wanted a pink and blue room so I painted it blue /grey on 3 walls and a dark magenta on one wall.

I found Tesco direct the best for duvet sets. It's hard to tell the colour and style online so I ordered loads, picked up in store, returned the 'no hopers' immediately and took the ' possibilities' home.
