What ceiling colour do you have with dark walls?

I'm thinking about painting our north-facing bedroom dark blue - probably F&B Hague Blue or similar. Not sure whether to go all out & pint the ceiling the same colour, do the ceiling white or go for a lighter shade of blue.

Any opinions?

I'd go with pure white. I think the dark blue would look great on the walls, but would be too oppressive on the ceiling in a North-facing room with limited light.
Plus it would be a nightmare to paint over - imagine how many back-breaking coats it would take to cover it!

White. We lived in a house with a pale grey ceiling in the hall, stairs and landing and two darker shades of grey on the walls. The ceiling in particular made it so gloomy.

I ve got a dark teal living room with a white ceiling. It looks good even though I like the painted ceiling look.

A consensus! Great. Now I just need to figure out what colour to paint the other bedrooms!
