Is Grey paint going to feel gloomy in my bedroom?

I'd decided on Polished Pebble from Dulux but looking at it on the wall it's dawned on me that it is what it is. Grey. The colour of dull. The colour of the sky on a rainy day. You get my drift! Am I overthinking this? It is a north facing room so doesn't get much light. I just want a calm and restful bedroom I can retreat to in a dc crazed house.

What's the alternative warmer colour that isn't cream. Current colour is mocha. I don't mind that but I'm bored with it. Wardrobes will be white. Neutral carpet and curtains. Thanks in advance!

Dove grey is the Laura Ashley colour upstairs.

We've got crown cloudburst in our bedroom- it's not gloomy at all, it's a peaceful, calming grey...it's been up for about two years now and I'm thinking of refreshing with the same colour cos I still love it!

I came on MN to stop me screaming...I was looking at paint samples & trying to decide which white or grey. 😂

it's toooooooo hard.

Sorry for the late reply, I didn't realize I had multiple messages!

Thanks for the pics ladies, that's really helpful. I played around duty the dulux visualizer and could see I was mostly drawn towards warm neutral greys with purple or red undertones. However the current colour of the bedroom is a mocha Auth purple undertone so I really want a change.

Only one wall will show colour as the wardrobes cover the other two. I'm tempted to try Polished Pebble but am also debating on Just Walnut. Need to decide on bed colour to help.

Ds has polished pebble (and on another wall tangerine twist Grin). The combination is great, and he loves orange, but orange on all walls would have been too much and the grey compliments it.

I would say the polished pebble alone is not at all cold and is a light neutral colour which can be paired up well with all sorts of other accent colours. Ive been thinking of having it in our family room, or something similar

Have Just Walnut in ours.
Polished Pebble was too harsh when we tested.

We have Just Walnut in our lounge - also north facing.

IMO JW is much "browner" than PP. More of a browny-grey rather than a blue/silvery grey like PP.
