Kitchen upstand tile or glass splashback

I'm in the middle of getting an IKEA kitchen fitted (see pic) and I've picked an IKEA backsplash to go with it.

Kitchen fitter is now suggesting we put glass splash backs all along back of sink under wall and taking it to the splashback instead of using the IKEA one.

I like the colour of the IKEA one and I'm not sure glass splashback would go as kitchen is modern country rather than contemporary which I think better suits the glass splashbacks. DH is swayed by kitchen fitter.

Any opinions or recommendations for tiles or upstands?

Go with what you prefer - you will be living with it for a long time - the fitter might want to finish earlier than tiling might take - or maybe he's not confident tiling ? Either way it's you who live with the finished result ! So go with what you want !
